Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a 3-year
course offered across several universities in India.
This course is the best suited for students who
aspire to be software professionals. The MCA
Universities in India are committed to develop

graduate degree (any stream) as the eligibility

MCA Entrance Exam
There are two types of Universities/Institutes
offering MCA. The ones that admit students based on
the AIMCET score and the others that have their own
entrance exams and do not consider the AIMCET score.
All India MCA Common Entrance Test (AIMCET) is
conducted by the IIT Roorkee. The other universities
that do not follow AIMCET score go by their own
separate entrance exams. These exams test the
mathematical, statistical and reasoning skills of
the students to evaluate them. Some universities
also have a round of group discussion following the
entrance exam.
As the world is growing with the augmentation of
computers, a candidate with an MCA degree should
positively be in great demand.
