Topiwala National Medical College, Mumbai MBBS Course Admission

Formerly known as National Medical College, Topiwala National Medical College is one of the oldest and the most reputed medical college in the Maharashtra State and has sprung up in the year 1921. The college was upgraded in the year 1964 by the generous contribution of Mr. M.N. Desai Topiwala and from then on the college has been imparting quality and research oriented education in the field of medical science to many aspiring medical students. Today, the TNMC is offering quality education for over 25 medical and its allied branches and nine specialty courses and is affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. The MBBs course that started its operations in 1964 is the most sought after courses by many students in and around Maharashtra.

Eligibility Criteria:
A candidate will be eligible to take up the MBBS course offered by the TNMC only if he or she is an Indian citizen and should have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission. Also, the candidate needs to secure a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying Higher Secondary or 10+2 exam pattern or any other qualifying examination that is recognized by the Maharashtra State Government with the main subjects being Biology, Physics and Chemistry and English being an elective subject. The minimum qualifying marks required for the SC/ST students will be just a pass mark

Admission Procedure:
Any eligible candidate from the state of Maharashtra will be required to take up the Maharashtra State Government’s Common entrance test conducted by the Government or the All India Entrance Examination conducted by the Central Government of the NRI candidates as well as candidates from other states. The students who are eligible will be given admission to the MBBs course based on the marks obtained by them in the written common entrance test.
