Kasturba Medical College, KMC Manipal MBBS Admission Courses 2013-2014

The Kasturba Medical College or KMC has been in the limelight for its various contributions to the field of medical studies since its inception on June 30th 1953 by a great patron of the college Late Dr. T.M.A. Pai. What started with only a pre-clinical section in Manipal has now grown into such stature, that it is regarded as one of the top five MBBS colleges in the country. The degree offered by the KMC College is recognized worldwide and students from over 44 countries have enriched their medical knowledge by studying at this prestigious institution. The Kasturba Medical College is recognized by the Medical Council of India and the massive college structure constructed on a campus area of over 200 acres is a pleasing sight for many.

Eligibility Criteria:
Any candidate seeking admission to the four and a half year degree MBBS course offered by the Kasturba Medical College in Manipal will have to be an Indian citizen with an age of not less than 17 years. The candidate should have passed the 10+2 level examination or a higher secondary examination that is conducted by many state governments that is recognized by the college. The minimum marks that the students need to obtain in the Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects put together should be an aggregate of 55% marks. There will be a 10% reduction in the aggregate percentage marks for the SC/ST candidates.

Admission procedure:
All the eligible candidates for the MBBBS course of the KMC College will be required to take the EPSI National Admission Test (ENAT) on the prescribed dates. The selection of the candidates for the MBBS course will be based on the rank obtained by the candidates in the EPSI entrance examination.
