King George Medical University, Lucknow MBBS Admission Courses 2013-2014

One of the premier medical institutions in the Uttar Pradesh state, King George Medical College in Lucknow has been a leading medical institution in the entire country since it spread its wings into the medical education sector in the year 1911. The College is now transferred under a new University called the Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University by the Act passed by the Uttar Pradesh Government on 16th September 2002. The University campus is situated about 5 kms from the Lucknow railway station and is well connected to all the different parts of the city through various public transport systems like car, bus, tempo etc. The King George Medical College is now affiliated to the Lucknow University and the University provides all the basic amenities like cafeteria, post office, bank etc for the staff members as well a the students.

Eligibility Criteria:
Any candidate who is an Indian citizen and above 17 years of age with a 12th standard clearing certificate with main subjects being Physics, Chemistry and Biology along with special subject English will be eligible to seek admission to the King George Medical College in Lucknow. The candidate should have secured pass marks in the 12th exam conduced by the Uttar Pradesh State Government or by any other Central or State Board’s recognized qualifying examination.

Admission procedure:
All the eligible candidates seeking admission to the MBBS course must have written the Combined Pre Medical test conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education and Training in Uttar Pradesh for the state students or the All India Medical Entrance Examination conducted by AIIMs, New Delhi for the students seeing admission from outside the Uttar Pradesh state. The admission to the University’s MBBs course will be based on the merit marks scored in the entrance test.
