Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh jnmc MBBS Admission
Established in the year 1961, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College
is located in the city of Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh and is run by
the Aligarh Muslim University. The JNMC is affiliated to the
Medical Council of India and is one of the most sought after
colleges for higher education in medical field by many aspiring
students in the city of Aligarh. JN Medical College was the
brain child of Dr. Sir Ziauddin Ahmed who realized the need for
starting a medical college in order to serve the poor community
people of Aligarh city. The combined effort of Dr. Zaiuddin
Ahmed and his task force saw the medical college being
inaugurated on October 2nd 1962 at the Aligarh Muslim
University.
Eligibility criteria:
The candidate interested to take up the MBBS course of the JN
medical college in Aligarh will need to be over 17 years of age
at the time of admission and also should be an Indian citizen.
He or she should have passed the Senior Secondary School
Certificate Examination or any other qualifying examination
recognized by the AMU or the Pre Medical examination conducted
by the University in subjects like Chemistry, Physics, Biology
and English individually and should have also scored an
aggregate of 50% marks in these subjects totally.
Admission procedure:
The eligible candidates will also be required to take the common
entrance test conducted by the University at a specified date.
Candidates will be required to score a minimum of 50% marks in
this entrance test to stand a chance to be eligible for gaining
admission to the MBBS course. All candidates will only be
selected purely on the merit marks score by him or her in the
