Armed Forces Medical College, Pune MBBS Admission Courses 2013-2014 

Armed Forces Medical College, Pune is the first medical college set up by armed forces of any Asiatic country. This institution was set up to satisfy the health care requirements of the Armed Forces in India. AFMC, Pune was established on 1st may 1948. It is one of the best three medical colleges that are operating in India. AFMC, Pune provides training to medical undergraduates and post graduates, nursing students, paramedical staff etc. This college is located near Ramtekri, the eastern part of Pune. This medical college has its affiliation with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. There are four super specialty departments in this college.

Eligibility criteria
A candidate should be an Indian citizen or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan or from any other foreign country who is a permanent resident of India, to be eligible to appear for the entrance examination for the admission to the MBBS course. The candidate must be unmarried and marrying is not allowed during the course. The candidate should be medically fit according to the standards fixed by the Govt. of India. The candidate should be of minimum 17 years and maximum 22 years of age on 31st December of the year seeking admission. In the case of candidates appearing for the final examination the age can be not more than 24 years. The candidate should have passed the senior secondary or the equivalent examination as a regular candidate with English, physics, chemistry, and biology as their subjects. 60% aggregate mark is required for the three science subject and 50% mark for English and each science subjects. A pass in the 10th standard Mathematics is also expected.

Admission procedure
All the eligible candidates will be required to take the common written examination on the prescribed dates. The admission will be based on the marks scored in this examination.
