Central University of Orissa (CUO) MBA Admission 2013-2014

The Central University of Orissa is one among the 15 new Central Universities that is established by the Government of India under the Central University Act of 2009 by the Parliament. The Central University is established in Orissa in a bid to widen the accessibility of quality education in the country and to provide quality education even to the tribal welfare people of the KBK region of Orissa. Some of the salient features that this University has to offer its students are: innovative teaching concepts, combining education with recreation and distance education programs. The main campus of the Orissa Central University is coming up at a 443 acre land adjacent to the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in Sunabeda. Currently the University is conducting academic courses in various disciplines at Central Silk Board building at Koraput. The School of management Studies is where the two year MBA course is offered by the University.

Eligibility criteria:
A candidate seeking admission to the MBA course in Orissa University will have to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognized Indian University or Foreign University. The candidate should also possess an aggregate of 50% marks in the respective subjects and an over all aggregate of at least 45% marks to stand a chance to seek admission in this university. A candidate with Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and its related subjects will be given preference over other Bachelor’s degree candidates.

Admission Procedure:
Apart from holding a Bachelor’s degree, the candidate will also have to take up the Central Universities Common Entrance Test. A candidate with a minimum of 45% marks in this entrance test will stand a chance to seek admission to the MBA course offered by the University of Orissa.
