Central University of Karnataka (CUK) MBA/BBA Admission 2013-2014

The Central University of Karnataka (CUK) is one of the 16 original Universities in our country that is recognized by the Government of India. This University is established through the Government’s Act of Parliament No. 3 of 2009. The University commenced its academic operations in August 2009 with a philosophy of achieving and maintaining the highest levels as far as education to the masses is concerned. The new sprawling campus is coming up on 621 acres of land on the Gulbarga – Waghdhari highway in Karnataka, a land identified by the Government of Karnataka. Now, the Central University of Karnataka is operated from a temporary location on the second floor of Karya Soudha, in the campus of Gulbarga University. The courses that are offered at CUK are: M Com, MBA, M Sc, MSW, MA, BA and BBA.

Eligibility criteria:
To be eligible for a BBA course, the student must be about 18 years and should have completed 12th standard Board exams or any Intermediate Education through any recognized Indian or foreign University. He or she must have scored an aggregate of 50% marks in the above exams. For an MBA admission, a student will have to hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with an aggregate of 50% marks.

Admission Procedure:
The admission to the BBA course offered by Central University of Karnataka is done as follows. Only students who have scored a minimum of 40% marks in the entrance test conducted by the University and who have secured 55% aggregate marks in their Board exams are eligible for the BBA course. Any student with a bachelor’s degree from any discipline with an aggregate mark of 55% will be eligible for MBA admission. The student has to take the common entrance test conducted by the University and a minimum of 40% marks in the test will make him or eligible for admission to MBA 2 year course. After this, the student will have to attend the group discussion and final interview conducted by the University, to secure an MBA admission.
