Poverty and inequality can be eliminated by strengthening the education system in India. Education plays a major role in enhancing global economy. Economic and social development of the country depends on literacy level of the country. After independence the country seems to have raised literacy levels. Students from places like South Africa, China, Canada, France, Germany, Canada, Australia, UK and USA are also aiming to study here.
There are a number of professional councils in India like -
• Indian Council for Agriculture Research (ICAR)
• Distance Education Council (DEC)

Students go for higher studies from here and get selected in good colleges abroad. The courses offered are numerous. Teaching technique and infrastructure of schools and colleges have improved a lot. Connected E learning is one of the methodologies used for learning. The cost of tuitions is comparatively low and hence the progress in education is incredible. The academics are decided as primary, secondary, senior secondary and higher education. Graduation takes 3 to 5 years based on different courses. Post graduation, a two year course can be opted after graduation.
To improve the literacy rate in India, government has taken few initiatives recently. Every school should have an information technology teacher. Unit tests for class 1 to class 8 must be organised. Collaboration of foreign universities with Indian institutions is being encouraged. Good quality education is being emphasised on. Vocational education needs to be reformed for the present youth. Most of the children attend primary school but very few attend the secondary school. Providing access, modern teaching techniques and quality education is of at most need in order to increase the literacy level in India.
