National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT)
National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is an eminent institute engaged
in providing great quality education in the field of management and fashion
technology. It has several centers all over the country, which includes cities
like Hyderabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, New Delhi, Bangalore and Gandhinagar.
In the year 1986 first center of NIFT was established in New Delhi with the
financial help and guidance of Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.
At present, NIFT is overtaking many foremost institutes in the field of
management, technology and design. NIFT focuses on building leader for taking
position in fashion industry in the promising global scenario. For admission in
any of the NIFT center applicant has to appear in the common entrance test
conducted by NIFT. Student needs to score better marks in increasing the
probability of getting admission “the more you score the more are the chances of
getting admission in NIFT”. Entrance test generally happens in the month of
February.
Eligibility for Bachelor program applicant must a valid 10+2 passed certificate
from any public school either of India or of any foreign country. For any PG
Program aspirant must have a Bachelor degree from any UGC recognized university
either of India or of any foreign country. The list of examination center and
the roll number can be seen on the official website of NIFT by the last week of
January. Students must reach their respective places one day in advance so that
they can easily find out NIFT premises where the entrance exam is going to be
conduct.
Every year NIFT training and placement cell conducts numerous on campus
placements for their graduating students. Eminent national and multinational
companies compete with each other to hire NIFT professionals. Number of
prominent brands, export houses and related groups has hired talented graduates
of NIFT to meet their specific needs.
