National Institute of Design (NID) is well known not only in the nation but also overseas because of its multi disciplinary expertise in the field of design learning and research. NID is an independent body operates under the department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. NID provides professional education courses to UG and PG students with five streams and 17 varied design domains. NID also created an exchange programme for their students with cooperation of more than 35 overseas institutes.
