Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT)

Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) came into existence in the year 1983. They started with academic programme at under graduate level in the discipline of Electronics and Communication engineering. In the first year, about 45 students enroll themselves under the course. New programmes in the area of Instrumentation & control Engineering, Computer Engineering, manufacturing processes & automation engineering were added afterwards. In the year 1987, the institute was registered as a society in the name of “Delhi Institute of technology”. From the year 1989, the institute started PhD programmes and also prepared numerous postgraduate programmes, four of which were approved in the year 1994 by the AICTE. The institute is affiliate under Delhi University for its entire undergraduate and postgraduate and for PhD programmes.

From its old campus, the institute was shifted to its new campus in Dwarka, New Delhi on 23 January by Shri Atul Bihari Vajpayee our then Prime Minister of India. In the year 1997, the institute was renamed to Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT). The campus of NSIT is spread over a rambling 145 acre with well connectivity by Delhi metro and road. Over the years, the placement record of NSIT is the best among other engineering institutes of the country. NSIT is most preferred institute among the aspirants who are able to crack the common entrance exam.

In the year 1983 when NSIT has commenced its academic course with a view to churn out intelligent, highly proficient and dedicated engineer to the country. Today, the institute has achieved more than its motto by emerging as one of leading tech institute of the country. With a span of 26 years, NSIT has able to create a distinctive name for itself especially in the field of technical education. Today, NSIT is among the top 10 technical institutes of the country and in top five among technical colleges for the campus recruitment.
