Central University of Gujarat

Central university of Gujarat appeared on third march 2009 with an objective of spreading and improvement of knowledge, to educate and train human resource for the development and growth of the country. Central university of Gujarat appeared for promoting innovated methods, teaching, learning, and to pay attention towards the improvement of social and economic conditions of the people living in the state of Gujarat. The central university of Gujarat emphasizes on the academic, cultural and intellectual development of the people.

On the day of its establishment, our honorable President “Shrimati Pratibha Patil” appointed Prof. Raosahab K Kale as the first Vice chancellor of the university. He possesses long experience in teaching and made immense contribution in the field of cancer and Radiation Biology as well as greatly handled university administrator post. He also received ICMR prize for his biomedical research contribution in the year 1996. The Indian council of medical research gives the national award. He served the Indian society as a treasurer and Secretary. He was also in the editorial team of Scientific Journals. He took participation in number of international seminars and conference. He served as a member for organizing committees for national/international seminars or conference and gave invited talks. He also contributed as a reviewer for scientific journals and as a resource person for several colleges and academic institutes.

The prime objects behind establishment of Central University of Gujarat:
• To make particular guidelines for integrated courses in social sciences, humanities, science and technology in its educational system
• To take suitable measures for promoting latest methods in teaching process and interdisciplinary research and studies
• To inject technical skills in the manpower for the development of the country
• To establish bridge with industries for the promotion of science and technology
• To pay attention towards the improvement of economic and social welfare of the people
