New law academy was established in 1994 and is affiliated to
Pune University. It is approved by the bar council of India. The
students of new law academy are valued and are well trained in
order to help fulfil their ambition. New law academy in Pune is
spread over 25 acres. The education offered are from primary
school to graduate, post graduate and PhD. 26,000 students are
spread among 28 various educational institutions.
Courses offered are in the field of Arts, Commerce, Science,
Architecture, Computer Science, Management Education, Law,
Pharmacy, Medicine, Dentistry, Hospitality, etc. New law academy
is known to have organised The 4th Surana and Surana
International Minority Rights Moot Court Competition 2008.
New law academy focuses on transformation, growth and change.
The students graduate as lawyers, judges and public officials.
The admissions to new law academy are based purely on merit. It
has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls.
Electronic legal search facility is provided by e-library. The
text books include from subjects like Jurisprudence and Legal
Theory, Clinical and Legal Education, Legal Research,
Professional Ethics, Law and Society, Family Law, International
Law and Human Rights, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law,
Cyber Law, Labor Law, Medical Law, Biotechnology Law,
Environmental Law, Criminal Law, Law of Contracts, Torts,
Property Laws, Land Laws, Company Law, Banking Law, Judicial
Process, Judicial Activism, Arbitration and Conciliation,
Interpretation of Statutes and many more. It helps in accessing
the legal information. It provides 25 desktop computers
connected with high speed Internet connection. It also provides
a very good infrastructure to students and faculties.
The courses offered are LL.B. (3 Years), B.Law (5 years), LL.M.
(2 years) 60 students with the number of seats being 120, 120
and 60 respectively. New law academy has arranged a committee
for anti ragging in order to provide safety to all the students.
The efforts put in by the law academy focuses on comfort on
students.
