Karnataka PG-CET for MBA and MCA Admission

The Karntaka Government has certified the Karnataka Examinations Authority for conducting Post-Graduate CET (Common Entrance Test) to the admission for first year of MBA and MCA. Candidates must appear for Post-Graduate CET (Common Entrance Test) organized by Karnataka Examinations Authority for becoming qualified for the admission to the courses. Though, non-Karnataka students are qualified for selecting merely the seats given by management, if any. The list of the colleges with the seat matrix as well as fee needs to be paid for every year is published on http://kea.kar.nic.in as given by Government of Karnataka.

Eligibility

MBA

A candidate having passed any under-graduate exam for minimum 3 years or corresponding exam (herein after referred as “qualifying examination” and obtained the minimum aggregate 50% taken together with all subjects for all years is appropriate for the admission to the MBA courses. For SC/ST category, the marks will be 45%. In addition to it, the applicant, after obtaining degree, needs to have worked for more than three years prior to issue of notification of the applicable year, in the establishment as well as should be working in the organization positioned within the radial distance for 40 km from institution in that the candidate wants admission.

MCA

A applicant who had passed any under-graduate exam with minimum 3 years or corresponding exam having Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Applications, Computer Science, Business Statistics, or Business Mathematics as amongst the optional subjects. S/he needs to obtained an total minimum 50% marks together in the all subjects for all years is qualified for the admission in the MCA courses. For SC/ST, the marks are 45%.
