Bharathiar University established at Coimbatore by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu aims in a sprawling campus of 1000 acres of land. Bharathiar School of Distance Education was established in 1991. This institute primarily offers degree and diploma courses in Science, Education, Languages, Management and Computer Application at a very low cost. Distance Education council, New Delhi has approved this institute. It has more than 100 study centres and spot admission centres spread over different parts of India. The study material provided by it is in printed form and in CD.

Eligibility
A candidate passed in any degree from a recognized university with Mathematics at +2 levels can opt for this course. Any degree with atleast one paper in Mathematics or Statistics at degree level can also be considered for pursuing this course. A candidate passed in B.E degree Examination (any Branch of study) or Second class bachelors degree (B.Sc in Mathematics/Physics or Chemistry with Mathematics/Applied Geology/ Statistics/ Computer Technology/Electronics/ BBM/Computer Science Applied Sciences etc) from Bharathiar University or university equivalent to it are also preferred. A mere pass in any of the above mentioned bachelor degree will be considered for SC or ST Candidate

Admission Procedure
Admission to the MCA course of this institute is entirely based on qualifying in the Entrance Examination. After qualifying the Entrance Examination, the eligibility of the candidate for admission would be verified and then they would be intimated about the provisional selection through a letter. The letter would indicate the amount of fees payable by the candidate, the payment schedule, certificates to be submitted for verification, amount of tuition fees etc. Only after verification process the admission letter would be dispatched to the students.
