The Panjab University is one of the oldest Universities in India
that has been imparting quality education to the people in and
around Chandigarh since 1956 after its relocation from Lahore.
The University commenced its operations in Lahore in 1882. The
Panjab University school of Open Learning started spreading its
wings in the field of education in 1971 in a bid to take quality
education to the door step of deserving candidates who have been
deprived of such education due to various reasons. The Panjab
University distance education program offers a total of 28
different courses ranging from undergraduate to post graduate to
diploma to doctoral level course. The well equipped library,
competent teaching staff, flexible mode of learning etc has made
this University on of the most popular Universities in the state
of Punjab.
Eligibility Criteria:
A bachelor’s degree in any discipline either from Panjab
University or any other university which is recognized by Panjab
University with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks will be the
basic eligibility criteria for students seeking to join the MBA
course offered by Panjab University through distance education
mode. Also, a candidate with 50% aggregate marks in any Master’s
degree will be eligible for seeking admission to the MBA
program. A candidate who has passed the final examination of the
Indian Institute of Chartered Accountants or Institute of
Company Secretaries in India or Institute of Cost and Accounts
Works in India is also eligible to take up the MBA course
offered by the University.
Admission Procedure:
The admission to the Master of Business Administration program
through distance education mode will require the candidate to
secure distinction marks in the common entrance test that is
conducted by the University. Hence, admission will be based
purely based on merit and the final decision for admission will
