KOTA Open University Distance Education MBA Admission
The Kota Open University which was established in the year 1987
is now considered to be one of the pioneer educational
universities in the state of Rajasthan that has been providing
quality education to various students in and around Rajasthan.
The University is now renamed as Vardhaman Mahaveer Open
University by the gazette notification of the Rajasthan
Government on 21st September 2002. The distance education system
in Rajasthan through this Open University is becoming a pioneer
educational landmark in the Rajasthan State and the combination
of two correspondence course institutes, College of
Correspondence Studies, Udaipur and Institute of Correspondence
Studies and Continuing education, Jaipur was brought about to
encompass the distance education resources in the State as well
as to provide higher quality of education to deserving
candidates in Rajasthan.
Eligibility Criteria:
A candidate interested to take up the distance education Master
of Business Administration course from the Kota Open University
is required to hold a Bachelor’s degree in any related subject
from a reputed and recognized University with a minimum of 50%
aggregate marks along with a minimum of three years work
experience in either professional or managerial or supervisory
level in any organization. Candidates who have secured a
Bachelor’s degree in engineering and technology, Architecture,
law or Medicine or any professional course like Accountancy,
Company Secretaryship etc or any fresh Master’s degree candidate
with an aggregate of 50% marks in either of the above courses
will also be eligible to apply for the MBA course.
Admission Procedure:
Any eligible candidate will have to appear for a management
entrance test conducted by the Kota Open University every year
or should have written the entrance tests like MAT or CAT or
RMAT in order to seek admission to the MBA course through
distance education. Selection of the candidates will be based on
the marks obtained in the entrance test and also the marks
obtained in the qualifying examination. For further details,
