University of Kerala Distance Education MBA Admission

The Institute of Distance Education of the University of karalla started spreading its wings in the field of correspondence education in 1976 and is located in the University of Kerala campus itself at Kariavattom, about 14 kilometers from the state capital ,Thiruvananthapuram on the Trivandrum – Kollam state highway. The Distance education institute was started with a vision of providing quality education to the people who could not attend the regular stream of education and to people who belong to the lower middle class students sections of the state of Kerala as well as to benefit the working women as well as senior citizens. The Master of Business Administration through distance education mode is one of the most sought after post graduate degree course of the Institute of Distance Education of the University of Kerala.

Eligibility Criteria:
A candidate willing to take up the three year MBA course offered by the Kerala University through correspondence will be eligible if he or she holds a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognized University or from the University of Kerala. The minimum aggregate marks that is required for being eligible to seek the MBA course is 4505 marks. A candidate with work experience of at least one year will be required to aggregate a total of 47% marks in the qualifying examination and a maximum of 10% reduction in the aggregate marks will be given by the University for a candidate with work experience of three years or more.

Admission Procedure:
Any candidate desirous of taking up the MBA course through correspondence can apply online or through the prescribed form given to the candidate along with the prospectus. The candidate must make sure that all relevant documents along with a properly filled application form reach the Administrative office of the Kerala University within the cut off date.
