Bharathiar University Distance Education MBA Admission
The Bharathiyar University is located in Coimbatore district of
Tamilnadu. It was established in February 1982 by the Government
of Tamilnadu. It is situated at the lap of Maruthamalai hills in
a sprawling 1000 acres. The university is named after the
national poet Subramania Bharathi who dreamed of making
educational institutions in to temple of learning. This
university is committed to serve the social and cultural needs
of the country. The university has 104 affiliated colleges, 12
management institutions, several arts and science colleges and
an Air Force Administration college under it. Apart from this
there are 25 research institutions recognized by this university
for research purposes. The school of distant education offers
many convenient courses to the students and has attractive
features. The fees under the distant education scheme are very
low and teachers, disabled persons, and the graduates of
Bharathiar University are eligible for 25% fee concession.
Eligibility criteria
Candidates who has passed any degree examination conducted by
any recognized university in India is eligible for admission
provided the candidate has a valid score in the entrance exam
conducted by TANCET. The candidate must have studied in the 10+
2+ 3 pattern to become eligible for admission. The university
will not conduct any entrance exam for MBA admission.
Admission procedure
Application forms and prospectus can be obtained from the spot
admission centers or city centers of distant education. The
applications can also be down loaded from the university website
www.b-u.ac.in. The applications can also be submitted online.
The filled applications should reach the university with the
TANCET score within 10 days of the announcement of TANCET
