SNDT Women's University Distance Learning BEd Admission
The S.N.D.T Women’s University was started in 1916 by the social
reformer Maharishi Dhondo Keshav Kare and it was formed in a bid
to empower women’s education in the region of Maharashtra. The
SNDT University is one of the oldest universities that educate
women in India and the University has jurisdiction all over the
country. The Center for Distance Education was established in
1979 with objectives like providing high quality education to
women who despite their age and restrictions can study the
course of their choice through distance education mode. The
flexibility in the admission rules, flexibility course time,
cost effective education, credit based programs etc are some of
the features that women will enjoy while studying their favorite
course through SNDT Women’s University’s correspondence course.
The following are the eligibility criteria and the admission
procedure for women who wish to take up the Bachelor of
Education course through distance education from S.N.D.T
University.
Eligibility Criteria:
Any women candidate who wants to pursue B Ed program through
correspondence from SNDT University should have obtained a
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognized and
reputed University and also should have a minimum of two years
teaching experience in any Government or Government aided or
private schools that are recognized by the Maharashtra
Government. The candidates should have taught in either the
primary or the secondary or the higher secondary curriculum of
the recognized schools.
Admission Procedure:
Any eligible women candidate will have to go through an entrance
test conducted by the University to stand a chance to seek
admission to the B Ed program through distance education of SNDT
Women’s University. The admission to the course will be based on
the marks obtained in the entrance test. For further details
