KOTA Open University Distance Education BEd Course
The Kota Open University now renamed as Vardhaman Mahaveer Open
University through a notification of the gazette by the
Rajasthan Government on 21st September 2002 is one of the
pioneer Universities for distance education in the Rajasthan
state. This University for Distance Education Learning has now
grown into a full-fledged Open University since its inception in
the year 1987. The Kota University was formed with a vision to
provide high quality and uniform system of education in the
Rajasthan State and hence two corresponding institutions namely
the College of Corresponding studies (Udaipur) and Institute of
Corresponding Studies and Continuing Education, Jaipur were
merged together into one fully functional Open University. The
University has its headquarters in Kota and is the most sought
after University by many students who are seeking a flexible,
cost effective and high quality education. The Bachelor of
Education Distance education course is one of the most sought
after courses of this Kota Open University.
Eligibility Criteria:
Any student interested to take up Bachelor of Education course
offered by Kota Open University should be a graduate in any
discipline. He or she should also possess a two or three year
teaching experience in primary, secondary or higher secondary in
reputed schools recognized by the University. The duration of
the course offered by the Kota Open University is for one year
and six months.
Admission Procedure:
A student interested to take up B Ed course in Kota Open
University will have to pass the entrance examination conducted
by the University with a minimum of 40% marks. The short listed
candidates’ list will be given out by the University and those
candidates will have to visit the University for counseling with
