Jadavpur University ME/MTech Admission 2013-2014 Courses

Jadavpur University is one of the oldest universities in Kolkata and has been providing excellent education on the various fields of science and technology for the past 56 years. It became a University in the year 1955, but was established in the year 1906. It is located in Southern part of Kolkata and has two campuses. The main campus is built on a 56 acre land at Jadavpur and the relatively new campus built on a land measuring about 28 acres is situated at Salt Lake. Some of the accolades that the University has garnered over the years include “Potential for Excellence” from the University Grants Commission and is rated as a “Five Star University” by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The University offers a wide variety of M E and M Tech courses for a candidate to choose from.

Eligibility criteria:
Any candidate who has obtained a Bachelors degree in Engineering/ Technology or Architecture or an M Sc degree with a minimum requirement of 60% aggregate marks will be eligible for admission to the M E and M Tech courses offered by the University. A candidate also should have written the GATE or NET exam. The student who have secured an aggregate of 60% marks in Passed membership examination or Associate membership examination conducted by professional institutions like Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, Indian Institute of Architects etc., that are approved by the Government of India are also eligible to apply for the courses.

Admission Procedure:
The candidate who have scored about 70 marks and above in the GATE test are eligible candidates for the M E and M Tech courses offered by the Jadavpur University.
