Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya is the Central University in India, situated in the Bilaspur C.G. State, recognized under the Central Universities Act-2009, (25). Previously called as GGU (Guru Ghasidas University), it is recognized by the Act of State Legislative Assembly, officially inaugurated on 16 June 1983. GGU is the dynamic member of AIU (Association of Indian Universities) as well as ACU (Association of Commonwealth Universities). The NAAC (National Assessment & Accreditation Council) has credited University with B+. Positioned in the socially as well as economically challenged area, this university is correctly named for honouring Guru Ghasidas (a great Satnami Saint). Eligibility
