Central University of Karnataka (CUK) MSW Admission 2015-2016 Courses

The Central University of Karnataka (CUK), located at Gulbarga in Karnataka district, is one of the 16 Universities that has been started by the Government of India through a Parliament Act called “ The Central Universities Act of 2009”. The University has commenced it operations in the year 2009 at a temporary campus in Gulbarga. The new University campus in about 621 acres is coming up at Kadaganchi Suntanur village on the Gulbarga – Waghdhari state highway. The various types of courses that are offered by the University are as follows: BBA, M Sc, MSW, M.A, M Com and MBA. The University employs a choice based credit system for its courses. A comprehensive library, excellent computer lab, good teaching standards, value based education and top notch hostel facilities make this University the most sought after educational institutions by many.

Eligibility Criteria:
A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, but preferably a B.S.W degree, from any recognized Indian or Foreign University with at least a minimum of 55% aggregate marks will be essential for a person to be eligible to take up the Master of Social Work or MSW course offered by this University. The Foreign University should be a recognized one that is in the AIU list.

Admission Procedure:
The admission to the MSW course offered by the University of Karnataka will require the candidate to take a Central Universities Common Entrance test (CUCET) conducted by the Government of India. A minimum of 40% marks is essential for a candidate to seek admission for the MSW program. Also, a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in any bachelor’s degree of any recognized Indian University will be needed for securing admission in the University. If a candidate has specialized in B.S.W course, then he or she will be preferred for admission to the University.
