Gujarat University Courses
The Gujarat University was set up in 23rd November 1949 under
the State Government’s Gujarat University Act of 1949. There are
many reputed colleges across the state of Gujarat that is
affiliated with this State University. The University is one of
the largest Universities in the State and caters to the
educational needs of over two lakh students who are pursuing
various courses in the 235 colleges that are affiliated with
this University. The University has been accredited with B++
ranking by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates who are seeking admission to the various Master’s
degree programs in Science, Commerce, Arts and Management
Studies need to have secured a minimum of 50% marks in their
respective Bachelor’s degree course in order to stand a chance
to be eligible for the course. Students who are interested to
take up Bachelor’s degree course in the various disciplines
offered by the Gujarat University need to secure a minimum of
50% marks in the 10+2 or its equivalent examination conducted by
the recognized State Boards. For SC/ST students, there aggregate
eligible marks to seek admission are 45% for both undergraduate
and postgraduate course. Any candidate interested in pursuing
the MD or MS course from the University needs to have completed
the M.B.B.S degree course from any recognized University and
should also have completed the rotating internship within the
interview date.
Admission Procedure:
For MD/ MS courses, the candidates will have to pass the
entrance test conducted by the University. The admission to
these Doctorate courses will be purely on merit basis. The
candidates eligible for the Master’s degree courses offered by
the University will have to take the common entrance test
conducted by the University. The candidates will be selected
based upon the marks obtained in the test. For further details
