University of Delhi DU Courses cut-off lists

University of Delhi was established in 1922 and the president of India is the visitor and vice president is the chancellor of this esteemed university. When it was established only three colleges were under it. The St. Stephens, Hindu college and Ramjas College. In 1933 the university shifted its office and library to Viceregal Lodge Estate. At present it is one of the largest universities in India. The university offers 16 faculties, 86 academic departments, more than 75 colleges and 5 other recognized institutions. The university offers certificate and diploma courses, under graduate and post graduate courses, and M.phil and Ph.D courses.

Eligibility criteria
The undergraduate courses will be 2/3/4 year’s duration. This includes professional courses such as BBA, LLB, BE, B.Ed etc. The eligibility is based on the scores on higher secondary school examination for the undergraduate courses excluding professional courses. Only for B.A (H) English there will be an entrance exam. The eligibility to join the post graduate courses is a pass in the under graduate course in the concerned subject with 50 % marks.

Admission procedure
Admission to the undergraduate courses, except professional courses in various colleges under this university is carried out by each college. From the year 2011 university has made it necessary to do pre- registration for admissions. The colleges will decide the cut off mark for each courses and the university will publish the cut off lists. Any student with the requisite percentage can approach the colleges for admission within the notified date. Some seats are reserved for physically handicapped and students belonging to SC/ST category. For postgraduate courses applications are to be submitted to the different departments when the notification is released.
