Chaudhary Devi Lal University is a public University funded by the Government of Haryana. The University is just 8 years old, yes, it is established in the year 2003 under an Act of the Legislative Assembly. The name of the University came from Late Chaudhary Devi Lal, popularly known as “Jan Nayak”, the former Deputy Prime Minister of India.

The University is exactly located in Sirsa, in the state of Haryana, India. With 16 academic departments and 40 different educational courses on different subjects, the University is very well equipped with hi-tech laboratories, central library, and separate hostels for boys and girls. The curriculum and syllabus of the academic courses are designed and prepared by well-known, esteemed and experienced professionals and faculty members.

The main campus of the Chaudhary Devi Lal University hold two Teaching Blocks which has about 100 class rooms, rooms for teaching and tutorial rooms and supporting staff room for every department, Vice Chancellor’s residence, VIP guest house, and 87 quarters for the faculty and non-faculty members and the University also houses four well-furnished and very clean separate hostels for boys and girls. One of the important departments of this University includes Science Departments in which Physics, biotechnology, Chemistry, Energy & Environmental Sciences, Food science, Computer Science, and Mathematics are included.

Apart from regular departments and academic courses, the Chaudhary Devi Lal University also offers 21 job-oriented and specialized academic courses which are considered as one of the best feature of this University, as these job oriented courses helps the students to improve their practical skills in particular field. This practical knowledge will help them while settling in their job.

This University is also an affiliating university in which about 60 Government and private Colleges come under this University. All these 60 affiliated University are located in different districts, namely Sirsa, Bhiwani, Hissar, Jind, and Fatheabad.
