Bharati Vidyapeeth is the original name of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University. It is one of the best Universities in India with large networks of educational institutions in and around India. This prestigious University was established in the 1964 by Dr. Patangrao Kadam and it is located in Pune. The main aim of this University is to work hard to bring intellectual awareness among students and people and to prepare the eligible manpower to contribute effective work and knowledge towards our country development. The University particularly aim on economic development of the nation. With excellent teaching facilities and strict discipline, the Bharati Vidyapeeth University is considered as one of the best Universities in India. In a short period of 14 years, the Bharati Vidyapeeth University has proved its excellence in academic, educational and research services nationally and through out the world and this is the main for its popularity among students.

Bharati Vidyapeeth institute gained its University status on 26th April, 1996 under the act of UGC Act, 1996 and at that time, the institute has about twelve institutions with it. Most of the students in and around the world prefer this University to pursue their higher education because of its potential on academic and research programs.

Presently, the Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University has about 32 constituent units that include colleges having following departments Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Ayurved, Homoeopathy, Business Management, Engineering, Architecture and many more on the list. The University has many campuses in various places such as Pune, Karad, New Delhi, Solapur, Navi Mumbai, Kolhapur and Sangli. The Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University also holds two campuses in foreign countries, namely Dubai and U.A. E. And as it accepts students from all over the world, the University holds separate hostels for boys and girls, canteen and clean food service center, hospital, bank and all needed facilities.
