Barkatullah University Courses
Barkatullah University is also known as Bhopal University, it is
an Indian university located in Bhopal. Initially, it was Bhopal
University and later it was renamed as Barkatullah University
after Prof. Barkatullah, the great freedom fighter. The
Barkatullah University is funded by state government. Being one
of the main Universities in India, the University of Barkatullah
offers academic courses to almost all non-technical colleges in
Bhopal.
The residential campus of the University functions as
affiliating university for colleges which are located in seven
different districts namely Sehore, Raisen, Vidisha, Hoshangabad,
Betul, Rajgarh and Harda. Barkatullah University has also
recognized by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council
(NAAC) with B grade.
The main campus of University is spread over 360 acres with
academic buildings for various departments like the University
Institute of Technology, Institute of Physics and Electronics,
Management Institute, Department of Pharmacy, Psychology
Department, Department of Law, etc. The main campus of the
Barkatullah University also holds an administrative building, an
auditorium, a guest house, a playground and all needed
facilities. Being a residential-type University, the University
of Barkatullah houses a separate hostel for girls and about four
hostels for boys and apart from these, it also has quarters for
the staff members and the vice-chancellor of the University.
The University is considered as best University in that
surrounding as it offers many postgraduate courses, M. Phil
programmes, diploma courses, certificate courses, and also Ph.D
fellowship. This University also offers many special, innovative
and job-oriented courses which meet regional and national
industrial needs. In addition to the conventional courses, the
University provides about 100 academic courses, which include
postgraduate and undergraduate programmes. The Barkatullah
University, being the best University, is affiliated with nearly
170 colleges in and around Bhopal. It also has some special
colleges which offers special and unique degree courses, some of
them include a Ayurvedic college, a Institute for Technical
Teachers Training, Physiotherapy, Unani, and homeopathic college
